Another part of my research was a ride along with a local Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement field officer. He had a 17’boat with a 150hp Mercury outboard powering it. The main problems with the Mako was it wasn’t fast enough to catch a jet ski and it has a rolling problem in open water.
